Please read the privacy policy and terms of use before using this website. Use of this website constitutes agreement of both.

This Privacy Policy explains how Your Legal Era LLC, formerly known as Kelli J LLC ("Your Legal Era," "we," "our," or "us"), collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information when you visit yourlegalera.com and its related pages (the "Site"). It also covers personal information we collect when you purchase, download, access, or use our contract templates, the Registered Reputation course, free trainings, blog content, emails, and other products and services offered through the Site (collectively, the "Services").

Please read this Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Use. By accessing or using the Site or Services, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires your consent for a particular collection, use, or disclosure of personal information, we will ask for that consent separately.

In this Privacy Policy, "personal information" includes "personal data" and similar terms used under applicable privacy laws. It means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked to an individual.

Questions about this Privacy Policy may be sent to kelli@lawyerkelli.com.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information when you give it to us, when you use the Site, and from service providers that help us run the Services. What we collect depends on how you interact with us and which Services you use.

a.Information You Provide to Us.

i.Contact and Account Information: your name, email address, business name, mailing or billing address, and the login credentials for any customer or course account.

ii.Purchase Information: the products you buy, your order history, transaction and payment status, and billing details. You enter payment details directly with our checkout and payment providers. We do not receive or store your full payment-card or bank-account number. Because of how our business account is registered, purchases may appear on your payment statement under the name Kelli J LLC.

iii.Business Information: your industry, niche, and similar details you choose to share at checkout, in forms, or in surveys.

iv.Communications: emails, support requests, survey responses, reviews, testimonials, and other messages you send us.

v.Marketing Preferences: your email subscription status, the free training or resource you signed up for, and your interactions with our emails.

b.Information From Service Providers and Other Sources. We may receive personal information from:

i.checkout and payment providers, such as transaction details, payment status, and limited payment-method details (for example, card type and the last four digits);

ii.email marketing providers, such as subscription status and whether you opened or clicked an email;

iii.website-hosting and course platforms, such as account and course-access information;

iv.analytics and advertising providers, as described in Section 1(c); and

v.social-media platforms, when you interact with us there, depending on your settings with that platform.

c.Information Collected Automatically.

i.Device and Usage Information: When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, device type, operating system, browser type, general location derived from your IP address, referring pages, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits.

ii.Cookies and Similar Technologies: We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, server logs, and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember your preferences, process purchases, understand how the Site is used, measure whether our emails are opened or clicked, and deliver or measure advertising. Information collected this way may include identifiers that count as personal information under applicable law. Some of these technologies are necessary for the Site to function.

iii.Advertising and Measurement Technologies: We use the Meta Pixel and may use similar technologies on the Site. These help us measure our ads, understand how visitors use the Site, connect sign-ups or purchases to ads, and show ads to people who have visited the Site. They may collect your IP address, device and browser information, device or advertising identifiers, pages viewed, and information about sign-ups or purchases. We do not currently upload our email list to Meta or any other advertising platform to build custom or lookalike audiences. Your choices are described in Section 5 and Section 6.

d.Sensitive Information. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information, and we ask that you not send it to us.

2. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We use personal information to:

a.process orders and deliver templates, course access, free trainings, and other Services you request;

b.create, manage, and secure customer and course accounts;

c.communicate with you about purchases, account access, and support requests;

d.send newsletters, educational content, and promotional emails, in line with your preferences;

e.personalize your experience and recommend products based on your purchase history and Site activity;

f.conduct surveys and market research;

g.operate, maintain, analyze, and improve the Site and Services;

h.measure the effectiveness of our emails and ads, and deliver advertising, subject to Section 6;

i.detect and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and unauthorized sharing of our templates or course content;

j.enforce our Terms of Use, license terms, and other agreements;

k.comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests;

l.establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;

m.create aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you; and

n.carry out any other purpose disclosed when the information is collected, or with your consent.

3. HOW WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not sell, rent, or trade our email list. We disclose personal information only to the following categories of recipients:

a.Service Providers. We disclose personal information to companies that help us run the Site and Services, including providers of website hosting, checkout and payment processing, email marketing, course delivery, file delivery, analytics, customer support, data storage, and security. These providers may use the information only to perform services for us.

b.Payment Providers. When you pay through a payment provider, that provider may also process your information for its own purposes, such as fraud prevention and regulatory compliance, under its own privacy policy.

c.Advertising and Measurement Providers. We may disclose identifiers, Site activity, and information about sign-ups or purchases to Meta and other advertising or measurement providers, as described in Section 1(c)(iii) and Section 6.

d.Legal and Governmental Recipients. We may disclose personal information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Your Legal Era, our customers, or others.

e.Business-Transfer Recipients. We may disclose personal information in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

f.Other Recipients With Your Consent. We may disclose personal information when you direct us to or consent to the disclosure.

4. RETENTION, SECURITY, AND CONFIDENTIAL LEGAL MATTERS

a.Retention. We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. In deciding how long to keep it, we consider:

i.how long you keep an account or course access with us;

ii.how long we need purchase records to confirm your template license, provide access, and meet tax and accounting requirements;

iii.whether you remain subscribed to our emails; and

iv.whether we need the information to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Information may remain in backup systems for a limited time before it is deleted through ordinary backup processes.

b.Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include relying on established hosting, checkout, and payment platforms and limiting access to personal information to those who need it. No method of transmitting or storing information online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your account credentials confidential and tell us promptly at kelli@lawyerkelli.com if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization. If a security incident occurs that requires notice under applicable law, we will provide that notice in the manner and timeframe the law requires.

c.Confidential Legal Matters. Your Legal Era is not a law firm. Using the Site or Services, or sending us information through the Site, by email, or through any form, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and that information is not privileged or confidential in the way attorney-client communications are. Please do not send us confidential details about a legal matter.

5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND CHOICES

a.Rights That May Be Available to You. Depending on where you live, and subject to exceptions under applicable law, you may have the right to:

i.confirm whether we process your personal information;

ii.access the personal information we hold about you;

iii.correct inaccurate personal information;

iv.delete your personal information;

v.obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;

vi.opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling;

vii.withdraw consent where we rely on consent;

viii.obtain information about certain disclosures of your personal information;

ix.appeal our decision on a privacy request; and

x.exercise these rights without unlawful discrimination.

b.Submitting a Request.

i.To make a request, email kelli@lawyerkelli.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." Tell us which right you want to exercise and give us enough information to identify you and verify your request. You do not need to create an account to submit a request.

ii.We may ask for additional information to verify your identity. We will use that information only to process and document your request. If we cannot reasonably verify a request, we may not be able to fulfill it.

iii.Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of the agent's authority and may contact you directly to confirm the request.

iv.We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

v.If we deny your request, you may appeal by emailing kelli@lawyerkelli.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" and explaining why. If we deny your appeal, we will tell you how to contact your state attorney general where the law requires.

c.Email. You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing kelli@lawyerkelli.com. Even after you unsubscribe, we may still send you transactional messages about your purchases, account, or course access.

d.Cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser or device settings and, where available, the Site's cookie-preference banner. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

e.Analytics. Analytics providers may offer their own opt-out tools. For example, Google offers a browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

f.Advertising. You can manage personalized ads through your ad settings on Meta and other platforms. You can also learn about targeted advertising and opt out of it with participating companies through the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. Your opt-out rights under state law are described in Section 6.

g.Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no common industry standard for these signals, we do not currently respond to them.

h.Global Privacy Control. Where required by applicable law, we treat a qualifying Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for the browser or device sending it.

6. SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING

We do not sell personal information for money.

As described in Section 1(c)(iii) and Section 3(c), we may disclose identifiers, Site activity, and information about sign-ups or purchases to Meta and other advertising or measurement providers. Under some state privacy laws, these disclosures may count as a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising, even though we receive no money for the information. We do not currently upload our email list to any advertising platform to build custom or lookalike audiences.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of these activities. You can opt out by:

a.emailing kelli@lawyerkelli.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share"; or

b.turning on a qualifying Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, as described in Section 5(h).

7. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY DISCLOSURES

a.California Online Privacy Protection Act. You may review and request changes to the personal information we hold about you by emailing kelli@lawyerkelli.com. Our response to Do Not Track signals is described in Section 5(g). We explain how we notify you of changes to this Privacy Policy in Section 10.

b.California "Shine the Light." California residents may request information about our disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties' own direct-marketing purposes. We do not make those disclosures without your consent.

c.California Consumer Privacy Act. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, California residents may exercise the rights described in Section 5 through the process in Section 5(b), and may opt out of sale or sharing as described in Section 6. In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information:

i.identifiers, such as name, email address, mailing address, IP address, and online identifiers;

ii.commercial information, such as products purchased and order history;

iii.internet or other electronic network activity, such as pages viewed and email interactions;

iv.general location derived from IP address; and

v.professional information, such as business name and industry.

We collect these categories from the sources described in Section 1, use them for the purposes in Section 2, and disclose them to the recipients in Section 3. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give California residents a right to limit its use.

8. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR THE EEA, UNITED KINGDOM, AND SWITZERLAND

If you are in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland and data-protection law there applies to our processing of your personal data, this Section supplements the rest of this Privacy Policy. Your Legal Era LLC is the controller of your personal data.

a.Legal Bases for Processing. We process personal data based on:

i.performance of a contract, such as processing your order and providing template downloads and course access;

ii.your consent, such as for marketing emails and non-essential cookies;

iii.our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site and Services, preventing fraud, and protecting our legal rights, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and

iv.compliance with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

b.International Transfers. We are based in the United States. Your personal data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than yours. Where the law requires safeguards for these transfers, we rely on a recognized transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual clauses.

c.Your Rights. Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to our processing; object at any time to direct marketing; receive your personal data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before you withdrew it; and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. You may exercise these rights as described in Section 5(b).

d.Automated Decisions. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The Site and Services are intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe a person under 18 has given us personal information, please contact us at kelli@lawyerkelli.com.

10. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, the Services, or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. If we make a material change, we will give notice by posting it on the Site and, where appropriate, by emailing the address associated with your purchase or subscription. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before using previously collected personal information in a materially different way.

11. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES

The Site may link to websites, platforms, or offers operated by third parties, including affiliate links. When you use a third-party site or service, that third party's own privacy policy governs how it collects and uses your information. We encourage you to review those policies. This Section does not limit our responsibility for service providers that process personal information on our behalf, as described in Section 3(a).
